The Smartphone is a feature in Dave the Diver.

The smartphone is unlocked in the prologue after receiving a call from Ellie.

You can use your phone to access various types of content.

Weapon Shop[]

Unlocked after the sub mission Weaponsmith Duff in the Prologue.

Upgrades can be made to these base weapons to Enhance them with elemental effects after starting the 3rd main mission of Chapter 2, Speak with the Sea People. Further Enhancements are unlocked.

This app allows Dave to send components for Duff to create and upgrade a variety of guns.

iDiver[]

Unlocked after completing the Prologue by Dr. Bacon. Further upgrades are unlocked as the basic equipment is unlocked. Access to the Glacial Area also gives access to new upgrades.

The iDiver app allows you to enhance various diving equipment.

Upgrade equipment with the money you make at the sushi bar and elsewhere and explore deeper waters!

By investing Gold, Dave can upgrade his diving gear.

Cooksta[]

Unlocked the first afternoon in Chapter 1 once Cobra has finished repairing the Bancho Sushi.

Keeps record of likes, social media for the restaurant and once requirements are met, allows application for a better ranking which allows the restaurant to hold more menu items, hire more workers, gives new recipes to research, add more interior items and increases Wasabi count of the kitchen.

Requirements start out with follows, which come from serving proper menu items to customers, serving Norimaki gives no followers. does not give follows.

To-Do[]

Basic feature. Works as a mission log for Dave.

Call[]

Basic feature. Dave's available contacts and allows Dave to call them, though they seem to only answer if there is a mission for it. The one exception is the Operator that got added in with the October 11 Content Update.

Mail[]

Dave receives spam and invitations to different parties through the mail app.

FarmNow[]

Unlocked after Otto opens the Farm.

Allows Dave to see statistics for crops in the Farm. Displays 3 statistics for each crop: Pest Damage, Growing, and Harvestable, as well as the current Nutrient level of the field, as well as a history of past harvests.

Later, once the Chicken Farm is available, shows the number of eggs ready to be collected.

If Sammy was hired to work on the farm, Dave can see his management menu from the app.

Calendar[]

Basic feature. Shows incoming events though as they are easily visible in the corner of the vision, it makes the app obsolete.

Management[]

Marinca[]

Unlocked by Sato in Chapter 1. Possibly arriving on the 3rd afternoon after completing the Prologue.

MarinCa or Marine Cards is a virtual card app where the app recreates cards from marine creatures the player has interacted with. For specific fish and their MarinCa information, check out Marinca.

Weather[]

Basic feature. Shows the upcoming weather report for the current and 2 next days.

This becomes useful for trying to plan for stormy-related missions and bosses and, with the DREDGE content, checking for when a thick fog is due to dive for aberrations. Note that a few in-game days must pass after opening the chicken farm before foggy nights will start to occur in game.

Music[]

Basic feature. Allows Dave to listen to the different music tracts.

Minigames[]

Basic feature. Though it is empty until games are unlocked.

Calculator[]

Basic feature. An actually working calculator.

Album[]

Basic Feature. Though empty until pictures are taken with the Underwater Camera.

Ecowatcher[]

Unlocked after the mission Assisting Ellie.

Offers a variety of Ecowatcher missions for Dave to complete for Research points. These allow Dave to gather rewards, most of which are different kinds of Charms.

FishMon[]

This app unlocks based more on amount of pictures taken than reaching or doing a particular mission/chapter, which can result in some not unlocking this until late into the game, while others can get it far earlier.

Eventually, Udo will reach out, requesting the capture of a special fish each weekend. It's important to note he requires the live capture of them (not to be killed) to be successful. If you fail at one, you can try again the next in-game week.

Tips[]

Basic Feature. Shows the info tutorials Dave has unlocked.

Kaiju Codex[]

Added in with the time-limited free DLC, Godzilla Content Pack, this is unlocked after completing Godzilla In Crisis!

This app offers descriptions, live-action photos, and roar sound effects of 20 different kaiju from the Godzilla series. One must find each figurine for the Lost Kaiju Figurines sub mission to unlock it's information in the codex.
