Sailfish is a medium depth fish in Dave the Diver.
Sailfish are found in the Shipwreck Interior, in the Western Blue Hole Medium Depth, after Dave receives the Marlin Party Invitation.
Harvested, a sailfish gives 2 pieces of Sailfish Meat, 3 if picked up by a Drone, each worth 5 ingredients. Or if it's picked up by the Drone while still alive it will give 3 pieces each worth 9 ingredients.

Description[]
- The sailfish looks like a marlin, but its dorsal fin resembles a sail. It can swim up to speed of 110km/h and inhabits tropical and temperate oceans.
Combat tactics[]
This large, aggressive fish attacks with swift thrusts and slashes of its long rapier like bill.
Notes[]
- Sailfish Sushi is the 2nd most valuable single ingredient dish in the game when fully upgraded. Surpassed only by the Dunkleosteus Sushi. However, the Sailfish is available much earlier in the game making it a great source of income early on.
- 3rd if we include the Skewered Cucumber, however, it requires 3 portions of Cucumber in order to make a single dish, thus reducing the value per ingredient ratio.
- Due to its high value it's best to catch the fish alive with the Drone via tranquilization. The Tranquilizer Rifle will generally successfully tranquilize the Sailfish before it dies. The Grenade Launcher which can be upgraded to the Tranquilizer Gas Bomb Launcher is entirely non-lethal and will definitely do so.
