Otto is a character in Dave the Diver.
He builds and maintains different kind of farming ventures by the shore on the Blue Hole. Sourcing different kinds of upgrades and supplies for Dave.
Appearances[]
His first appearance is on the first evening of Chapter 2, on the sub mission A Noisy Customer, where Otto is in Bancho Sushi drinking beer and being boisterous.
Allegedly a former "amazing diver until he took a harpoon to the knee" (referencing the game The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim). Otto requests some Moray Eel Curry, a dish from his childhood. Though morays are practically impossible to catch at day and only come out at night, giving Dave the option to dive in the evenings.
As a reward Otto starts up the Fish Farm, letting Dave gather roe from his captured fish to grow and breed fish in tanks. The next day as they watch the new fish hatchlings, Otto tells Dave about past of being lost at sea, leaving behind his young son.
When the VIP Michael Bang, a movie director, arrives on the mission Michael Bang's Inspiration, Otto helps Dave source some rice by building up a private rice paddy, unlocking Otto's Farm.
Another VIP MC Sammy, a rapper, arrives on the mission Good Ol' Vegetable Sushi!, Otto expands the farm to grow fresh vegetables.
After crafting the perfect vegetable dish for Sammy, Otto makes a entrance, unveiling that he is MC Sammy's long-lost father. Otto had departed eight years ago, and during this period, he had never reached out to Sammy. His account of the absence involves a tumultuous storm that led to his shipwreck on an uninhabited island. There, he managed to survive by hunting wild animals, armed only with a Harpoon Gun. Following his eventual rescue, Otto established a new life near Blue Lagoon. He stayed quiet for a while because he wanted to get his life in order before reaching out to his family.
Afterwards MC Sammy joins Otto at his vegetable farm to raise chickens.
