On an evening in Chapter 3, Otto arrives at the sushi bar for a beer and talks with Dave about the Sea People.
Afterwards, a sunglasses-wearing man arrives, annoyed this is the only place to eat in the area. He introduces himself as the movie director, Michael Bang, and gets recognized by Bancho for creating Robot Samurai. Bang is filming his new movie, The Stone, but can't get the ending scene right, and was hoping some new inspiration might come with some food. However, not seeing anything that fits, he decides to leave. Bancho though calls after him and volunteers to come up with something for the director, but will need 3 days for it so he can get a hold of better quality rice.
Wondering where to get something better than the Annam rice of the region, Otto steps up and to give him a day. He'll then call the following morning regarding it. Bancho will also ask you to go on a food gathering mission to get Titan Triggerfish, Harlequin Hind, and Coral Trout.
Otto calls the next morning, inviting you to the lot behind the sushi bar. On arriving, you'll see he's set up a small but functional rice paddy to grow the needed rice. As you'll naturally be busy with fishing, Otto will help to grow the rice, which grows within 2 to 3 days, but will still require you to weed the paddy and keep insects from spreading. He'll then give you access to the app FarmNow, which will let you see what state the farm is in without needing to visit constantly.
Go about gathering the rest of the fish if you still need any and then, on the morning of Michael's scheduled arrival, Otto will call you to come harvest the rice. That night, Michael will arrive and, if you have all the required ingredients, Bancho will make it. Note that you'll need to manually pick it up and go serve it to Michael.
Michael immediately finds the inspiration he needs and, as a reward, gives a signed copy of Robot Samurai Poster as a decorative item.
