Mantis Shrimp is a shallows fish and an optional boss in Dave the Diver.
This boss can only be encountered during a stormy night after completing Revenge Time!, as part of the sub mission Stormy Night 2. Note that while that mission can "fail" if you don't do it when you first receive it, it will come back during another stormy night to try again.
Description[]
- An unrealistically large mantis shrimp. Its ultrasonic punch can easily knock out its prey with a single blow.
Combat tactics[]
Attacks:
Jab: The mantis shrimp jabs twice, first right then left. It rests after its left jab.
Slam: The mantis shrimp slams the ground, causing a strong current to push Dave. It then charges a punch.
Charged Punch: After a while, the mantis shrimp, after charging, releases an ultrasonic punch, again causing a current. This can be blocked, using the bell-like object. To block, pull on the glowing chain at top left of the start position.
Back Slam: If you go to directly above the shrimp, it will look at the camera, then slam you against the roof.
Weak Point: Shoot the shrimp in the eyes when you can.
