Gourmet Vincent's Challenge is the first VIP mission in Dave the Diver.

On the evening after completing the main mission Beyond the Rock Pile, Yui, presenting the TV show Star★The Chef, arrives with Vincent "The Gourmet", legendary sushi expert. Making an episode on the new up an coming restaurant Bancho Sushi.

Vincent challenges Bancho, with bringing Vincent something that will surprise him. Bancho tells them to return in 2 days.

Having an idea, Dave is sent out to find Sea Grapes and White Spotted Jellyfish from the Limestone Cave. Due to wanting it as fresh as possible, Bancho suggests Dave to use a net or tranquilizer to capture the jellyfish alive.

Arriving two days later, Vincent is not impressed by Bancho's choice to not follow tradition, yet Bancho challenges the "gourmet" for judging before he has even tasted it.

With the ingredients ready Bancho prepares the Seagrapes Jellyfish Sushi for Vincent, which floors the gourmet with the novel taste. Vincent gifts the restaurant a refrigerator, allowing the restaurant to now serve beer to compliment the dish.

Completing this VIP mission unlocks the Seagrapes Jellyfish Sushi without the need to research it.

If Dave cannot gather the ingredients, Vincent gloats at Bancho for not having anything to show for his bluster. Yui tells they will reschedule as they cannot film this for content, for once losing her super cheery act.

Vincent will then call Dave the next evening, informing Dave he will arrive again the next day. This will happen until Dave has gathered the ingredients.
