Gadon is a subset of mutated Sea People in Dave the Diver.
History[]
About 800 years ago, the sea people were at the height of their civilization with devices more technologically advanced than that of humans at the time, thanks to the Divine Tree and its fruit. During this period though, one of the senior technicians, Dasche, wished to harness the tree's power to be utilized for other purposes. He secretly did so by processing some of the fruit to then modify the anatomy of some of his fellow sea people. In the beginning, the results of this were promising, with the modified individuals showing greater strength than the rest. However, one day it all went wrong and the modified individual's bodies changed, with twisted limbs and pale bodies and a new intolerance for light.
King Long attempted to stop this in its tracks by going into the Control Room and locked the mutated beings, now referred to as gadons, in an abandoned cave there. While he was successful in this, he suffered a fatal wound in the process and soon died. With the rest of the sea people not really knowing much else about the gadons, it was believed the mutated beings eventually died off. However, they learned 800 years after these events this was not the case.
Combat tactics[]
There is not a way to fight gadons, as no guns or knives can kill them. One must instead use a mixture of stealth and diversion tactics, such as hitting nearby Divine Tree Fruit to briefly blind and stop any nearby gadons to safely get away.
There is a special gadon, the Giant Gadon, that is encountered during Chapter 5's Find the Glacial Passage Exit, where Dave gets chased by it and must avoid a variety of obstacles to do so.
