Finding the Baby Whale is a sub mission in Dave the Diver.
After being told by Ellie that the mother whale is looking for its offspring, Dave decides to immediately help if he finds the baby.
While swimming in the West side of the medium depths, Dave hears the baby whale's cries, following them he comes to a pile of rocky debris seemingly blocking a cave.
Pulling out a stake between the rocks, causing the pile to collapse, Dave enters the cave.
Finding the scared whale in the cave, Dave tries to soothe it for a while until it is willing to follow Dave out.
Taking the baby whale towards the surface so the mother could find it. The path is blocked by multiple aggressive fish starting with a pair of Great Barracuda. A school of ten Red Lionfish swarms the entrance to the shallows, with finally a Whitetip Reefshark before coming out of the sea.
Arriving past the final corals, Dave and the baby whale are attacked by a group of sharks, probably attracted by the blood spilled while fighting their way up.
As the sharks converge on the pair, a large shape rushes from the distance, the mother hearing the call of its baby and slams the sharks away.
The mother and baby whales reunite and swim away to the distance. As Dave swims back to his boat.
Ellie calls and tries to encourage Dave to keep helping the environment, though in a toxic manner.
The baby whale returns to say goodbye to Dave on the surface before returning to its mother.
Note Entering the cave will cause the dive to end at the end of the mission.

- A baby whale got lost. I should look around to see if I can hear it cry.
- Wait! I just heard a baby whale cry! It should be around here somewhere.
- The sound is coming from the inside... I can't get through because of the rocks. Is there any way to get rid of them?
- There should be a baby whale in here. I should look for the baby whale.
- The baby whale is scared. I'll have to sooth it to bring it out of here.
- All right! Now I'll bring it back to its mother. It should follow me if I go up to the surface level.
