Duff is main side character in Dave the Diver. He provides the player with weapons and weapon enhancements throughout the game.
Duff is a weapon expert and full time otaku. When meeting Dave by video call, Duff has just finished watching the 2nd season of Stra Stella, a Gundam type anime featuring giant robots and cute anime girls.

Duff is seen for the first time in the afternoon of the 2nd day when Cobra video calls him to supply weapons to Dave, as any weapon found in the hole always breaks down when brought out.
Duff hypotheses that anything that's not made from materials found in the Blue Hole will continue to break down.
Duff sends Dave to gather some components, in particular a piece of rope and some scrap iron.
