Throughout Dave the Diver, there are three types of currencies:
- Gold - used by humans
- Bei - used by Sea People
- Credit - a social currency specific for Dave to gain the Sea People's trust
Gold[]

Gold is the basic currency for humans. It's used for the majority of all purchases in the game, such as upgrading Dave's equipment and weapons and other things.
Bei[]
Later on, bei is also introduced as the Sea People's form of currency in their village.
Credit[]
Unlike the other currencies, this is a social currency, given as a sign of trust with the Sea People during Chapter 3's mission, The Sea People Village's Trust.
Dave has to gather 100 credits by completing tasks for the Sea People before Tenzhin allows Dave to help with investigating the tremors affecting the Blue Hole.

Notes[]
- Early on, when gold is limited, it's likely better to stick to making the most economic sense: selling items that have more gold value than to sell for bei. However, in later stages where one may be making enough profit from Bancho Sushi and its branch, it may make better sense to flip between the two currencies based on what one needs, as some items can only be bought with bei in the Sea People Village.
