A Dolphin's Request is a sub mission in Chapter 1 in Dave the Diver.
After Bancho Sushi has been repaired in Chapter 1, the next time Dave goes for a dive, he is approached by a dolphin. The dolphin will indicate it wants Dave to follow it.
The dolphin guides Dave to it's mate, a Pink Dolphin, that's caught in a fishing net. Dave has to cut the net to free it. Afterwards, they'll leave behind a pearl on the seafloor.
Arriving to the location where the pink dolphin is without the other dolphin or leaving the blue hole causes the mission to fail. It can be retried by diving and meeting the dolphin again.
This mission seems to happen in map with Barrel Jellyfish on the far edges of the shallows.
